
Dr. Alfred "Fred" Ramirez
Dr. A.Y. “Fred” Ramirez is a professor of education at Concordia University, Irvine. Before coming to Concordia he was a tenured professor at CSU, Fullerton where he served as teacher educator and graduate chair. He was one of the first to adopt online education as a meaningful tool within higher education at CSUF. From there he went to serve at Biola University as graduate chair where he was instrumental in developing their online MA in Teaching. It was here that he became a sought after international speaker and consultant. From his international experience he developed EdActs Global (www.edactsglobal.org) which creates leadership opportunities and training for youth by having them conduct local and global service projects. His awards in research, diversity and community service has garnered him the Indiana University Alumni Award where he obtained his degree. Dr. Ramirez is also a certified PADI scuba instructor. He enjoys reading, writing, and most of all, spending time with his family.
